Description
18 hole course with long and short tee pad locations - longs are approx 6100' and shorts approx 4600'. Tee Pads are anchored carpet, but mostly flat and are replaced annually or as needed. Benches by all tee pads, but the only trash can is on hole 6 (bag it out!). Bathrooms and water fountains are in the middle of the circle of baseball fields or by the tennis courts on hole 8. The course is a little tricky to navigate the first time you play it, but after that it's no problem. Holes 5, 10 , and 18 require a short little walk down the asphalt walking path to get to (there should be arrows posted somewhere). The layout is a mix of woods, trees, and open spaces. Trees of various sizes come into play on just about every hole. Water comes into play on 6, 7, and 16 during wet seasons only, otherwise it's dry (still OB on holes 6 and 7). Most of the front 9 involves slight downward elevation changes off the tee pad, the back 9 is more flat. This course it at it's best when it's under 90 degrees. In the summer, the back seven can be brutaly hot in the mid afternoon as there is no shade on the tee pads or fairway. Parking: Despite the large parking area, it occasionally fills up when there are multiple weekend baseball / soccer games going on. When this happens, which isn't often, you can circle the parling lot until a space opens up or take your chances on a grass area at the lot entrance if others are parked there. Not much else can be done, so be patient. Most of the time the lot is wide open by hole 1. NOTE: Half of the course has alternate basket locations that are switched out every month or so. That will be changing this summer (2016) as alternate positions for holes 2, 3, 5, 8,10, 11, 13, 15, and 17 are being prepared. There's been a great effort to maintain and improve the course lately - it's a great place to play.

PDGA rules apply as do the local park rules. DON'T LITTER! This is a dog friendly park, though leashes are needed at times. An asphalt path runs through the entire park/course, so be alert for and careful of dogs, bikes, and people on the path - it's their park too! This course is also used by the Gainesville Chainhawks disc golf club.
