Dunlap Disc Golf Course (DDGC) is a short 9-hole course that suits beginner players with simplistic holes, yet provides more advanced players with opportunities for precision throws. The disc golf course resides within the town park on the east edge of Dunlap by Dunlap Pond. (The pond itself does not come into play with the disc golf course.) Every hole on the course is Par 3. The town park is well kept and maintained, including the disc golf course. Tee boxes are grass with a large surface brick inset into the grass to mark the forward throw line. Perhaps the weakest part of this course is that every tee-box sign is placed at the front of the tee box and barely to the side of the brick throw line. This puts one's hands and arms in harms way if throwing discs within the intended tee box area. The obvious solution is to throw from the side of or further behind the designated tee-box area. Throwing further behind the tee box risks of hitting the sign with a thrown disc. By remaining well clear of these tee-box signs, the golfer will find fuller commitment to disc throws. Distances were carefully measured using Google Maps, since some tee-box signs report distances that are less than close to accurate. The aerial image on Google Maps for the Dunlap area shows winter time with leaf-off deciduous trees; most tee boxes and baskets are easily seen on the aerial image for accurate measurement. A large map of the course is posted near the first hole next to a park shelter. No additional course instruction is given. Even though no course rules are listed for DDGC, to respect other park users with safety, out-of-bounds (OB) considerations are given in the hole-by-hole descriptions. All holes are complements of 1st Congregational Church, described as such on each tee-box sign.
