Description

Lohmann Park is a beginner-friendly 9 hole disc golf course next to Thomas Paine Elementary School in Urbana, IL.  There is free parking in the parking lot of the school and along Colorado Avenue.  There is also a porta-potty on site during most of the warm weather months. There are only nine numbered baskets, but there are multiple sets of tees. The white tees are clearly marked with rubber mats and hole signs. The red tees are clearly marked with red circular posts in the ground.  The red tees play forwards to holes 1-9. The blue tees are clearly marked with blue circular posts int eh ground.  The blue tees play backwards to holes 9-1.  So, the first hole of the blue tees corresponds to the 9th basket.  The second hole of the blue tees corresponds to the 8th basket, and so on and so forth.

Course Rules

All sidewalks, roads, parking lots, and fences around neighboring houses are considered OUT OF BOUNDS.

The cricket pitch in the middle of the park is considered a FAKE LAKE if it is flagged off or clearly mowed.

White tees are marked with rubber mats and hole signs.

Red tees are marked with red circular posts in the ground.

Blue tees are marked with blue circular posts in the ground.

All forward playing groups using white or red tees have the right of way on a hole. All groups playing the backwards or blue tees should allow forward playing groups to hole out before they throw or approach.

Please do not tread on cricket mound, tamper with cricket shed, or disturb any cricket field equipment.

Please do not disturb or disrespect any other groups who may be using the park. This includes cricket practices and/or games, youth soccer practices and/or games, rugby practices, and pee wee football practices.
