Description
Open, very lightly wooded with deep reeds bordering the length and width of two sides of the course. Grass can get tall because this course is not maintained very well, however this course was the site of the 1994 and 1995 PDGA World Disc Golf Championships in its hay day. The baskets are old and chains are starting to rust. Mosquitos are a real problem if its not cold and this is Texas so this course is only comfortably playable in late fall and winter for the not so determined. As the name states the course is on an island with a bay on one side and a ship channel on the other so it is always windy. Although its open there is slight elevation change with small hills, wind and some well place trees to make this a fairly challenging course.
