Description

This course is built into the open space on campus at the University of Northern Colorado. It is a 14 hole rework of the old 9 hole version. There are three pin positions for most of the holes which makes three different layouts: Blue, Gold, and President's. The course is typically in a combination of the Blue and Gold layouts.

Course Rules

1. Tee off from the designated tee area.

2. After the initial throw, the player with a disc farthest from the hole throws first. Subsequent shots will be thrown from where the disc came to rest. A player will throw as many times as needed to get the disc inside the basket

3. A run-up and normal follow-through after release is allowed more than 10 meters from the basket. Within the 10 meters, a player may not step past the point of the lie until after the disc thrown has landed.

4. Each hole is finished when the disc comes to rest inside the basket. The player who has completed all holes at the lowest total score is the winner.

Layout Description

There are three positions for most of the holes. The Blue setup is intended for during the school week with the shortest distances. The Gold setup is intended for the weekends with moderate distances. The President’s setup is intended for special events with the farthest distances. The course seems to be on a combination of all three of the layouts most of the time, so the current positions are in this layout.
