Description

Well designed 18 hole course.  Good mix of different shots required: some technical line-shaping through trees and some are wide open, both right or left turning, holes vary by length from under 200' (hole 8) to over 500' (most pin positions on 18), median length from pro tees around 350'. Good fun factor, good mix of forgiving and high risk/reward scenarios. Moderately wooded with a creek running through the entire length. The creek is usually a benign hazard, but can become a torrential disc-eater after a rain in the spring. Concrete teepads, separate pro and am tees on most holes, multiple pin positions on each hole. Practice basket by the am tee for hole 1. This is the most popular course in south Colorado Springs for good reason, and it will get crowded on weekends with nice weather. However, the fairways only intersect in a couple of places (watch out teeing off on holes 5/18 and 14/17), otherwise there is little crossfire.

Clearly labeled mandos on 8,11, and 13, spray-painted arrows on tree trunks.

The creek is OB, pedestrian paths are not, however always wait for non-golfers to clear the hole if present before throwing.

All private, fenced-off backyards are OB. DO NOT JUMP FENCES TO RETRIEVE DISCS! Walk around to the front and knock on the appropriate front door, then ask politely. Most people are nice and are happy to help you retrieve your disc; others may not be home, or will refuse to help. It is their choice, and they have no obligation to help you if they choose not to. It sucks, but it is not an excuse to hop the fence, which would be trespassing, in which case the police can and will be called. It is easier to just write off your disc as lost in this case.
