Description

Burchfield Park has two courses and Devil's Den is the friendlier of the two.  Devil's Den has long and short sets of both tees and baskets.  The majority of fairways are open with a few obstacles, the basket placement provides extra challenge.  There are very few heavily wooded holes and hardly any tunnel shots, but the weeds and woods are often very thick off the fairway.  The park is well kept and improvements are continually made and it is sprayed for poison ivy along the fairways.  Benches and picnic tables are common near the tees.  The course design is decent but holes 11 and 15 are not intuitive to find and paths cross, as well as a few tee boxes situated too close to previous fairways, but some of these issues are currently being addressed and tee boxes are being moved.     River's Edge is very technical, has elevation changes, woods, and some long holes through the woods. This course is not open like Renegade's Trail(formerly Devil's Den). The course par is 61 with 7 par 4 holes. There is also water out of bounds due to the river (5 holes), road OB, and other marked OB. It's a pay to play course, $5 per round or $40 for a year pass and the county charges for parking either $3 for a day or $20 for a year pass.
