Designed by Steve Harney in 1998, this City of Tulsa park is one of the finest and most popular disc golf courses in Tulsa. This long, technical, scenic, and very challenging course is a must-visit location for any course collector, and the numerous park amenities make it a great destination for the whole family for an entire day of activities. It was also one of the host sites of the 2006 PDGA Amateur Worlds. Large concrete tee pads, unique and quality signage, DGA Mach III baskets, public restrooms, and multiple pin placements are but a few of the luxuries that make this course great. There’s a great mix of tightly wooded, lightly wooded, and fairly open holes. There’s a reasonable amount of OB to contend with, as well as a beautiful creek and pond that frequently come into play. Frequent mild elevation changes keep things interesting without wearing you out too much. As for the rest of the park? The 71-acre campus offers dog parks, fishing ponds, walking trails, basketball courts, a labyrinth, picnic shelters, playgrounds, and a splash pad! If you’re looking for the best disc golf courses in Oklahoma, Hunter Park should definitely be on your list.
